Perceptyx has launched Develop, a new AI-driven learning platform designed to measure employee comprehension during training rather than after it is completed. The company says the solution is part of its broader People Activation System, which aims to connect workforce insights, learning, and behavioral improvement into a single performance-focused framework.
Develop uses a coordinated network of AI agents to deliver adaptive learning experiences while simultaneously evaluating how well employees understand and apply information in real time. Unlike traditional learning systems that depend on quizzes or completion metrics, the platform continuously assesses comprehension throughout the learning process and creates evidence-based records of demonstrated capability.
The system is built to work with existing corporate learning content, converting static training materials into interactive, conversational learning experiences. As employees engage with the platform, organizations receive detailed comprehension scores, learning records, and workforce capability insights that can be used to guide talent development and business strategy.

“AI is accelerating both the disruption and demand for new skills across the workforce,” said Ross Wainwright, CEO of Perceptyx. “But most organizations still lack a reliable way to understand whether learning actually translates into performance. Too often, they rely on completions or engagement metrics that don’t reflect real capability. Develop changes that by measuring comprehension in the moment, giving organizations a direct signal of what employees can actually do with what they’ve learned — and, when paired with the broader People Activation System, a continuous view of how capability translates into workforce performance.”
The release comes amid increased demands for organizations to reform their workforce development programs. Perceptyx findings show that over 80% of employees favor on-the-job learning, but a majority of organizations still use disconnected platforms that measure activity instead of effectiveness.
Industry analyst Josh Bersin also noted the shift toward real-time comprehension measurement. “Most learning tools still measure whether people learned through tests, a holdover from the LMS era,” said Bersin. “By using AI to assess skills through conversations, Perceptyx Develop can give companies new, meaningful insights into management strengths, weaknesses, and individual development needs.”
Perceptyx says the platform is designed to help organizations better connect learning investments with measurable workforce performance outcomes.
