EcoVadis Introduces Worker Voice Survey to Enhance Labor Practices and Regulatory Compliance

Share

EcoVadis, a leading sustainability intelligence platform for global supply chains, has launched the Worker Voice survey, developed in collaboration with Ulula. This initiative aims to provide organizations with real-time, anonymous feedback from workers across all tiers of the supply chain, enhancing efforts in responsible sourcing and human rights due diligence.

The Worker Voice survey addresses the limitations of traditional social audits by offering a cost-effective, scalable solution that captures authentic worker experiences. Accessible via mobile devices, SMS, or in-person, the survey is designed to overcome barriers such as language, literacy, and technology access, ensuring broad participation even in remote or high-risk areas.

By aligning worker feedback with industry standards and regulatory requirements, including modern slavery laws and human rights due diligence, the survey enables businesses to verify compliance and strengthen their sustainability and ethical sourcing efforts.

“Companies are under pressure to comply with new regulations and meet rising stakeholder expectations, but policy without visibility falls short of where it matters most – on the ground with workers,” said Pierre-François Thaler, co-founder and co-CEO of EcoVadis. “EcoVadis Worker Voice arms our customers with the data and insight they need to go beyond compliance and turn ethical commitments into real-world outcomes for workers across their value chain.”

Organizations can invite suppliers to participate in the survey, which is accessible through QR codes or dedicated phone numbers in workers’ preferred languages. The anonymous survey takes less than 10 minutes to complete and remains open for up to 10 days to ensure robust participation. Results are available in real-time, providing deep insights into worker well-being and labor conditions.

Companies utilizing the Worker Voice survey are recognized with a “worker verified” badge on the EcoVadis platform, reflecting their commitment to ethical practices and continuous improvement in working conditions.
