MedCerts, a leading online developer of allied health and IT certification training and a subsidiary brand of Stride, Inc. announced a strategic partnership with Pace AI. The two companies have joined forces to implement highly specialized, AI-driven learning systems into the professional medical training programs, which among other things will help adult learners throughout the US to clearly plan their career paths and break down the educational barriers of the past.
For various reasons, language barriers, family commitments, lack of real-time academic support, etc. adult learners often experience a friction with the healthcare system when they are at the stage of looking to enter it. To overcome these problems, the partnership embeds Pace AI’s adaptive tutoring tools within the foundation courses of MedCerts’ eight high-demand healthcare programs. This technical implementation covers the areas of major healthcare professions – Phlebotomy Technician, Medical Assistant, Electronic Health Records Specialist, and Reimbursement Specialist tracks.
“This collaboration reflects what the healthcare labor market urgently needs,” said Todd Goldthwaite, Managing Director at Stride, Inc. “Solving workforce shortages requires more than expanding the number of training seats.”

Creating Scalable Pathways for High-Demand Sectors
The strategic alignment introduces a highly scalable training model designed to assist underserved student demographics. As an essential component of this rollout, graduates from the GED Testing Service—the most widely recognized high school equivalency credential program in the country—will gain immediate, supported access to these advanced AI-augmented medical certification curricula.
By integrating Pace AI’s system, students receive on-demand, real-time instructional guidance delivered across more than 250 languages. This multilinguistic capability provides targeted learning modifications that help non-traditional students build technical confidence, improve concepts retention, and confidently navigate complex clinical terminology.
“We started Pace AI with a mission to build AI focused on adult learners to unlock economic opportunity for adult learners, from the GED graduate balancing work and family to the English language learner building new skills, to the reentry learner rebuilding their career path,” said Victoria Pu, CEO of Pace AI. “What unites them is not a lack of ability, drive, or desire—but a lack of support. That is what we are solving for.”
Bridging the Gap Between Education and Healthcare Employment
The partnership optimizes the post-educational value of high school equivalency diplomas by translating basic academic achievements into direct employment opportunities within expanding healthcare markets.
“Each year, hundreds of thousands of adults earn their GED credential with the goal of building a better future,” said CT Turner, President and CEO of GED Testing Service. “What has often been missing is a direct, supported pathway forward. This partnership creates that bridge into healthcare careers where demand is strong and opportunity is real.”
Throughout the remainder of 2026, MedCerts, Pace AI, and the GED Testing Service will collectively monitor operational metrics, evaluating long-term learner persistence, course completion velocities, and national credential attainment rates. Looking ahead, the participating organizations intend to expand this AI-guided framework into additional technical training tracks, while simultaneously developing targeted enrollment cohorts sponsored by healthcare employers and regional workforce development boards.
