Rain Integrates Earned Wage Access Directly Into Workday to Simplify On-Demand Pay

Rain, a leader in earned wage access (EWA) solutions, has launched the first fully embedded on-demand pay integration within the Workday platform, giving employers and employees seamless access to pay-on-demand services without third-party setups or system changes.

With this native integration, Workday customers can enable Rain’s EWA offering in just minutes, providing employees immediate access to earned wages through the familiar Workday interface. The move addresses growing financial stress among workers and rising turnover, as more employers look to financial wellness benefits to attract and retain talent.

Key highlights of the integration include simple in-platform activation, effortless employee access with no separate app or login, and enterprise-grade security backed by 24/7 U.S.-based support.

“This is a significant milestone for on-demand pay,” said Fred Choquette, Chief Operating Officer at Rain. “Through our integration with Workday, employers can now offer earned wage access to their employees directly through their HCM platform, without any additional operational burden. This sets a new standard for how financial wellness benefits should be deployed at scale.”

Rain’s EWA solution is already trusted by more than 3.5 million employees and has processed over $3 billion in early wage access to date. Employers using Rain have reported a 46% drop in six-month attrition and a 20-hour monthly increase in average work hours per employee.

The Workday integration follows Rain’s recent $75 million Series B funding round and expands its push into embedded finance, complementing its partnership with Marqeta to further streamline wage access for workers.
