In a move aimed at narrowing the cybersecurity talent gap across Europe, OpenClassrooms, a leader in digital education and career training, has partnered with CompTIA, a globally recognized provider of IT certifications. The collaboration will integrate CompTIA Security+ certification into OpenClassrooms’ EU Cybersecurity Analyst reskilling program, announced during the Digital Summit hosted by Poland’s Ministry of Digital Affairs.
Under this partnership, learners completing the program will gain access to CompTIA’s Security+ exam—one of the most widely adopted and ISO/ANSI-accredited certifications for early-career cybersecurity professionals. The initiative is part of the Industry-Academia Network of the EU’s Cyber Skills Academy, launched to align educational pathways with the evolving needs of the cybersecurity job market.
“Teaming with OpenClassrooms advances CompTIA’s pledge to offer aspiring technology professionals a progressive route to industry-leading certifications,” said Jason Moss, SVP, EMEA at CompTIA. “Together we will equip individuals with the validated skills they will need to operate in SOC centres; carry out cybersecurity incident response activities; and improve organisational cybersecurity hygiene.”

OpenClassrooms aims to make the program accessible, especially to individuals from underrepresented backgrounds or those facing barriers to career advancement. “Our collaboration with CompTIA marks a major step forward in making cybersecurity reskilling both rigorous and accessible,” said Guillaume Houzel, Managing Director for Growth at OpenClassrooms.
The first ten graduates will receive free access to the Security+ exam as part of the program rollout. The initiative supports the EU’s digital policy agenda, including the NIS2 Directive, Cyber Resilience Act, Cyber Solidarity Act, and Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA).
The partnership underscores the shared commitment to building a job-ready talent pipeline equipped with the technical expertise needed to meet Europe’s growing cybersecurity demands.
