Accenture has announced a new national initiative aimed at helping U.S. military Officers and Senior Enlisted personnel transition into private-sector careers by equipping them with the skills needed to succeed in the AI era.
The program aligns with the federal government’s broader push to prioritize AI education and workforce development as critical drivers of innovation and competitiveness. At the recent White House AI Education Taskforce meeting—hosted by the First Lady and attended by industry leaders including Accenture—the importance of accelerating AI readiness across the workforce was reinforced.
“Training and skilling have become an urgent priority for leaders as organizations look to harness the incredible power and opportunities of AI and other advanced technologies,” said Julie Sweet, Chair and CEO of Accenture. “Former U.S. military officers and senior enlisted personnel bring unparalleled discipline, adaptability and leadership qualities, honed through years of dedicated service. Our program is a strategic investment in unlocking Veterans’ potential and equipping them with the skills they need to thrive in the age of AI, as well as helping the U.S. more quickly adopt AI at scale to dominate the global AI race.”

The initiative is designed to address the unique challenge of translating military leadership experience into corporate career opportunities. Participants will receive tailored support through Accenture LearnVantage, the company’s AI-powered learning platform. LearnVantage offers flexible, self-directed courses and certifications, including hands-on training in high-demand areas such as agentic AI, while also providing career development resources like interview preparation and mentorship.
“Our goal is to scale this training for officers and senior enlisted personnel quickly, create clear career paths, and connect them with meaningful opportunities in high-growth sectors,” added Sweet. “By combining their inherent strengths with our world-class training capabilities, we can open the door to rewarding careers—honoring our heroes while developing exceptional talent that will help organizations across the U.S. create new value.”
